Peter Way offers extensive product strategy, business strategy, product management , business planning and engineering experience.
Peter’s most recent experience has been in helping startups define their markets and product requirements. He has done market primary research and planning projects for an internet startup, control systems software business, a networking company, and a web services business.
He built & proposed business cases for emerging computer storage opportunities at HP. He has a passion for understanding customer needs and delivering winning strategies and products to meet them. He enjoys educating customers on the business value of new high-tech solutions.
Prior to that, Peter held a variety of positions in marketing and management. He was instrumental in growing HP’s Optical Storage business from startup through maturity. He was also responsible for managing solution marketing of HP’s Disaster Tolerant Storage Solutions, and product marketing for Network Attached storage and enterprise tape drives.
Early in his career, Peter designed tape drive servo systems in R&D and was awarded a patent that saved customers significant time in enterprise backup. He simulated wind turbine dynamics and performance for General Electric.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University and a Masters in Aeronautics and Astronautics from M.I.T.
He has significant international living experience and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and conversant in other languages.
